George H. Wright was born about 1852, the son of Lorenzo Dow Wright and Elizabeth Hill.
George married Agness Malinda Horton on May 27, 1871, in Collinwood, Wayne County, Tennessee. Malinda was born about 1852, the daughter of James William Horton and Cynthia Atkinson. Her sister, Martha Horton, married George's brother John Wright.
