George Wyley Cargile was born August 1891, in Conway County, Arkansas, the son of Edward P. Cargill and Lillie F. Reynolds. (He was named for his grandfather, Wyley E. Reynold.)
The 1900 Conway County census shows 8 year old George with his parents and siblings, in Gregory Township.
George married Rosa Frances M. Barnes on December 15, 1910, in Conway County, Arkansas. Rosa Barnes was born February 1895, in Conway County, the daughter of Reason "Reece" Barnes and Susan E. Treadway.
George and Rosa both died in 1918 in the worst flue epidemic in the history of Conway County. Rosa died October 16, 1918, in Conway County, and George died there five days later on October 21, 1918. They are buried in Old Hickory Cemetery in Conway County.
Their two children were raised by their Barnes grandparents.
