Harriet Emilene Robbins

(My sincere thanks to David R. Heinz for the information he contributed on this family.)

Harriet Emilene Robbins was born about 1832, in Hardin County, Tennessee. We believe she was the daughter of Green B. Robbins and Ursula Weatherford. Some researchers have her father listed as Ursula's second husband, Thomas McDonel.

The 1850 Wayne County, Tennessee census, 7th Civil District, shows Harriet Robins, 18, living with her sister Margaret Franks and her family.

Harriet married Frederick Marion "Francis" Franks about 1850-1857. Frederick Franks was born about 1835, in Tennessee. He was probably the son of Frederick Franks and Nancy (last name unknown), who appear on the 1850 Hardin County, Tennessee census.

The 1880 Wayne County census, 7th Civil District, shows Fredrick M. Franks, 45, a farmer; Harriet E., wife, 48; Ursley J., daughter, 22; and William A., son, 17.

Information from David Heinz shows that Harriet died February 19, 1914, in Lauderdale County, Alabama. Frederick died August 29, 1918, in Lauderdale County. They are buried in Mt Olive Cemetery, Waterloo, Lauderdale County, Alabama.
