Isaac Crow

Isaac Crow was born March 24, 1759, in Orange County, North Carolina, the son of James Crow and Grace Denson.

Isaac married Elizabeth "Betty" Stroud on January 23, 1783. Elizabeth Stroud was born July 18, 1767, in Orange County, the daughter of John Stroud and Sarah Connally. Elizabeth's sister Margaret married Isaac's brother Stephen.

The 1790 Hillsborough District, Chatham County, North Carolina, census shows Isaac with two free white males under the age of 16, and two free white females.

Isaac was named in his father's will, which was signed in 1792, to receive 10 shillings, a share of the money derived from the sale of part of the estate, and the lower 1/2 of the plantation where his father was living.

In 1796, Isaac and his wife, Elizabeth, sold 200 acres of land on Haw River to his brother, Stephen Crow. This is probably the property left to Isaac in his father's will, probably including the home place.

Isaac moved his family to Georgia between about 1800 and 1804. Elizabeth died March 11, 1835, in Walton County, Georgia. Isaac died there on September 30, 1845.
