Jesse Cypert was born about 1813, in Tennessee, the son of John William Cypert and Nancy Anderson.
Jesse married Elizabeth Horton about 1833, in Tennessee. Elizabeth Horton was born about 1818, in Tennessee, the daughter of Isaac Horton, Jr. and Mary "Polly" Watts. She was the granddaughter of Isaac Horton and Hannah Farris.
Info given me by other researchers and some Cypert family descendants indicates that Jesse and Elizabeth had only one child, a daughter. A petition filed in the Wayne County, Tennessee court on October 1, 1855, however, proves that Elizabeth had a son who is listed in the petition. No daughter is listed. Judging by this evidence, I believe Elizabeth died about 1838 -1840.
Jesse married Mary "Polly" West, probably about 1840, in Tennessee. Mary West was born about 1818.
About 1851/52, Jesse and Mary moved their family to Searcy County, Arkansas. They settled in the Bear Creek Community. Jesse was a lawyer. He served as probate judge in Searcy County for many years. Jesse died in Searcy County.
