John Robert Daley was born June 6, 1898, at Leslie, in Searcy County, Arkansas. He was the son of Andrew Daley and Mandy Jane Branham.
The 1900 Pope County, Arkansas census shows Andy Daley, b. May 1870, 30, married 7 years, a farmer who rented his farm; Mandy, wife, b. Aug 1877, 22, m 7 yrs, had given birth to 2 children, 2 children were still living; Mary, daughter, b. Apr 1894, 5; and John, son, b. June 1898, 1 year old.
John's father died about 1905 and his mother remarried a couple of years later. The 1910 Searcy County, Arkansas, Wiley's Cove Township, census shows John Daily, 12, listed with his mother, step-father William Gloden, and step-siblings.
The 1920 Searcy County census, Town of Leslie, shows John Robert Daley, step-son, 22, railroad laborer, still living with his step-father, his mother and his step-siblings.
John married Willie Lou Ellis about 1922, in Arkansas. Willie Lou Ellis was born 1898, in Yell County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of William Ellis and Delaney Proctor.
The 1930 Union County, Louisiana census shows John Daley, rented, 35, married at age 24, born TN, laborer at saw mill; Willie, wife, 35, married at age 24, born AR; Estelle, daughter, 7, born AR; J. W., son, 6, born AR; Robert, son, 4, born AR; and Fred, son, 0, born LA. The census was dated April 2, 1930.
The family appears to have moved to Yell County, Arkansas prior to 1935, as indicated on the 1940 census. By 1940, the family was in Desha County, Arkansas. The 1940 Desha County census shows John R. Daley, 45, born AR, a farmer, entire family living in Yell County, AR on April 1, 1935; Willie, wife, 46, born TN; John W., son, 15, born LA; Robert, son, 13, born AR; and Fred, son, 11, born AR.
Willie Lou died May 20, 1953, in Arkansas.
After Willie's death, John married Vivian Byrd. Vivian Byrd was born August 16, 1886, and died July 1966.
John Robert Daley died May 25, 1970, in the TB sanitorium at Booneville, Arkansas.

1. Agnes Estell Daley was born Mar 16, 1923, in AR. She married Faye Singleton. Children included: (1) Bobby Faye Singleton; (2) Billy Ray Singleton; (3) Ronnie Lee Singleton; and (4) Johnny Carrol Singleton
2. John Willie Daley was born Oct 28, 1924, in AR. He married Beatrice Briney. Children included: (1) Fred Daley; (2) Joanne Daley; (3) Cathy Daley; (4) Johnnie Joe Daley; (5) Mary Lou Daley; and (6) James Daley
3. Robert Andrew Daley was born Dec 2, 1926, at Plainview, Yell Co, AR. He married Melba Dean Rorie. Children: (1) Dale Wayne Daley; (2) Jimmy Don Daley; and (3) Carol Ann Daley
4. Fred Miller Daley was born 1929, in AR or LA. He married Norma M. ____. He was living in Hartford CT in the mid 1950's. Fred died 1968, in Maine. Children included: (1) Barry Daley; and (2) Jimmy Daley
