Loye Lenzy Laycook was born November 5, 1892, in Arkansas, the son of John Laycook and Sarah Ann Priscilla "Ciller" McClure.
Loye married Velma Gertrude Wallace on October 14, 1917, at Ada Valley, in Conway County, Arkansas. Velma was born June 8, 1901, the daughter of Homer Wallace and Nellie ____.
Loye and Velma raised their children in Ada Valley. The 1930 Conway County census, Higgins Township, Ada Valley Road, shows Loyd Lacook, farmer, 38, married at 23; Velma, 27, married at 16; Geneva, 11; James, 9; Bernice, 8; and Lewy, 5 years old.
Loye died February 18, 1973, and is buried in Ada Valley Cemetery. Velma died January 12, 1982, and is buried in Ada Valley Cemetery.
