Lucinda C. Bridgman

 Lucinda C. Bridgman was born August 1866, in Wayne County, Kentucky, the daughter of William Calvin Bridgman and Matilda Prock.

Lucinda appears on the 1870 and 1880 Wayne County census at home with her parents and siblings.

Lucinda married John M. Huffaker about 1884.  John Huffaker was born August 1865, in Kentucky, the son of Henry Clay Huffaker (b. 1844, Wayne Co, KY; d. 1930, KY) and Loretta E. Simpson (b. 1841, KY; d. 1916, KY).

Lucinda was named in her father's will, dated August 5, 1896. John was named executor of the will.

The 1900 Wayne County census shows John Huffaker, born Aug 1865, 34, married 16 years, a farmer who rented his farm; Luinda, wife, born Aug 1866, 33, had given birth to 8 children, 6 children were still living; Emma, daughter, born Sept 1884, 15; Pearl, daughter, born Dec 1887, 12; Maud, daughter, born Feb 1890, 10; Claud, son, born Aug 1892, 7; Loid, son, born Dec 1896, 3 and Florrie, daughter, born Feb 1900, 3 months old. 

The 1910 Wayne County census shows Matilda living with her daughter Lucinda and her family.  The census shows John M. Huffaker, 44, married 26 years, an engineer at a oil station, owned his farm; Lou, wife, 43, had given birth to 10 children, 8 children were still living; Pearl, daughter, 22; Maud, daughter, 21; Claud, son, 17, oil field roust about; Loyd, son, 13; Flourie, daughter, 10; Floyd, son, 8; Charles, son, 4; Odell, grandson, 2 months old and Tilda Bridgman, mother-in-law, 90, widow, was married 66 years, had given birth to 9 children, 8 children were still living.

The 1920 Wayne County census shows John M. Huffaker, 55, oil field gauger; Lou C., wife, 54; Floyd, son, 16, oil field laborer; Charles W., son, 13 and Odell, grandson, 10 years old. 

Lucinda died in 1928, in Wayne County.

The 1930 Wayne County census shows John Huffaker, 64, farmer; Pearl, daughter, 42, single and Grace, granddaughter, 9 years old.  Living next to John was his son Charles and his family.

John died August 7, 1936, in Wayne County.
