Ruben Crow was born about 1752, in Orange County, North Carolina, the son of James Crow and Grace Denson.
Ruben married Abigail Lee on August 4, 1781, in Chatham County, North Carolina. Abigail Lee was born March 20, 1762, in Chatham County, the daughter of William Lee and Susannah Pike.
Ruben is named in his father's will to receive 10 shillings, a share of the money derived from the sale of that part of the estate not willed to his children, 50 acres of land on Colbeser (?) Mountain, and the upper 1/2 of the plantation where his father was living.
Ruben later moved to Illinois. Abigail died April 15, 1819, in Clark County, Illinois. We have been told that Ruben died in 1824, in Clark County.
