Ursula Weatherford

Ursula Weatherford was born about 1801, in North Carolina, the daughter of William Weatherford and Margaret Ann Polk.

The Weatherford family moved to Wayne County, Tennessee prior to about 1815. The 1820 Wayne County census shows Ursual as a female 16-26 years old.

Ursula married Green D. Robbins prior to about 1824. Green Robbins was born about 1800.

The 1830 Wayne County, census shows Green D. Robbins family as one male 20-30; one male 5-10; one male under 5; one female 20-30; and one female under 5 years old.

We believe Green died about 1832-1835 or he and Ursula separated about that time.

Ursula married Thomas McDonel (could be McDonald or McDaniel) about 1832-1835. We have been told that he died in 1836 in Wayne County.

The 1850 Wayne County census, 7th Civil District, shows Ursula living with her son John Robbins and his family. The census shows John Robins, 26, a farmer, real property valued at $200; Mary, 20; Jane, 3; Elizabeth, 1; Ursula McDonald, 50; Thomas McDonald, 14. Living not far from them was the family of John Franks Jr. Living with the Franks family was Ursula's daughter, Harriet. (Although we have been told that Harriet was the daughter of Thomas McDonel, the census lists her as Haret Robins, 18.)

The 1880 Wayne County census, 7th Civil District, shows Ursula living with her daughter Margaret Franks and her family. The census shows Ursley McDonal, mother-in-law, 90, born in North Carolina.

We have been told that Ursula died in 1885, in Wayne County.
