William Felkins was born about 1792, in Virginia, probably in Fauquier County. Some researchers list him as William Marshall Felkins. He was the son of John Felkins and Anna (last name unknown).
William appears on the 1810 Pulaski County, Kentucky census living near his father and siblings. He is shown to be 16-25 years of age, single and a farmer.
William married Jane (June) Williams on May 1, 1813, in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Jane (June) Williams was born about 1792. (Some researchers show her as Jane and some as June.)
I am told that Jane (June) died about 1833, in Garrards County, Kentucky.
William appears on the Madison County, Arkansas census in 1850, living with his daughter Jane (Felkins) Monroe and family. The census shows East Monroe, 23, born in KY, a farmer with $150 real property; Jane, 18, born in KY; Mary, 1, born in AR; and William Felkins, Sr., 62, born in VA. Living next door to them is his son Henry Felkins and family.
William died in 1869 in Madison County, Arkansas.
