Bunyun married Mary Ann "Polly" Martin on November 29, 1842, at Lawrenceburg, Lawrence County, Tennessee. Mary Martin was born about 1828, in Tennessee, the daughter of James Martin.
The 1850 Lawrence County, Tennessee census, 3rd Civil District, shows William B. Wright, 28, a farmer with $100 real property; Mary, 22; Elizabeth J., 6; Mary A., 5; and Rachael M., 1 year old. They are living next door to William's parents.
Mary Ann died about 1857, in Lawrence County.
Bunyun married Elizabeth Randell on April 5, 1858, in Lawrence County. Elizabeth was born about 1820.
The 1860 Wayne County, Tennessee census, 8th Civil District, shows W. B. Wright, 38, a farmer with $40 real property and $600 personal property; Eliza, 40; Betsy J., 16; Mary Ann, 14; Rachael M., 11; James P., 9; Louisa E., 6; William F., 4; and Martha C., 1 year old.
We have heard that Bunyun was almost hung at his home during the Civil War.
