Charity Cypert was born July 3, 1787, in Chatham County, North Carolina, the daughter of Francis Cypert II and Abigail Johnson.
Charity married Zachariah Thompson on October 9, 1805, in Overton County, Tennessee. Zachariah Thompson was born February 14, 1780.
Zachariah Thompson fought in the War of 1812. He was also in the Indian Wars. Zachariah and Charity located in Wayne County, Tennessee in 1818. They raised their children in Wayne County.
Zachariah died January 2, 1867, in Wayne County. Charity died November 1884, in Wayne County. They are both buried in the Thompson Cemetery located on a farm on Rayburn Creek, in Wayne County.
