(I have not researched this Nichols family, but am sharing the information I have regarding this family.)
Taylor Eugene Nichols was born February 4, 1888, in Conway County, Arkansas, the son of Samuel Alexander Nichols and Mahala Jane Maxey.
The 1900 Conway County census, Lick Mountain Township, shows 12 year old Eugene with his parents and siblings.
Eugene married Annie Belle Carroll on October 13, 1907, in Conway County. Annie Belle Carroll was born March 16, 1891, in Arkansas, the daughter of John J. Carroll and Frances E. (last name unknown).
Eugene was a farmer. He lived all of his life in the Center Ridge area of Conway County.
The 1910 Conway County census, Lick Mountain Township, shows Eugene T. Nichols, 22, married 3 years, a farmer; Annie B., wife, 17, had given birth to 1 child; and Ausby H., son, 1 year, 2 months old.
The 1920 Conway County census, Lick Mountain Township, shows the family near Center Ridge. The census shows Eugene T. Nichols, 31, owned his farm free of mortgage; Annie, wife, 28; Ausbie, son, 11; Andrew, son, 9; Ruby, daughter, 7; and R.A., son, 10 months old.
The 1930 Conway County census, Lick Mountain Township, shows Eugene Nichols, rented his farm, 42, married at 19; Annie, wife, 38, married at 16, a farm laborer; Ausbie, 21, a farm laborer; Rray, 11, a farm laborer; Elmo, 5; and Elmira, 6 months old.
Eugene died February 21, 1941, in Conway County. He is buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Center Ridge.
When Annie's health started failing, she moved to Morrilton and lived by her son Ray and his family. Annie died September 3, 1961, in Conway County, and is buried beside her husband.
