Lillian Grace Gloden

Lillian Grace Gloden was born August 25, 1909, at Leslie, Searcy County, Arkansas.    She was the daughter of William Franklin Gloden and Mandy Jane Branham.

Eight-month old Grace appeared on the 1910 Searcy County census, with her parents and half-siblings, living in Wiley's Cove Township.   

The 1920 Searcy County, Wiley's Cove Township census listed her as 10 years old.  

Grace married Thomas Eli Campbell on July 8, 1929, at Leslie.    Thomas Campbell was born July 9, 1905, at Crossroads, South Carolina.    He was the son of John Campbell and Martha Jeanie Grant.

Lillian appears on the 1930 Searcy County, Wiley's Cove Township census with her parents and her brother, Frank.    The census shows she was 20 years old and married.    Thomas was not listed on the census.    

The 1940 Scott County, Arkansas census shows the family living on the Watts to Leslie Road.    The census shows Tom Campbell, rented, 34, b. SC, family lived in the same place on Apr 1, 1935, a farmer; Lillian, wife, 30; Virginia Mae, daughter, 8; Alma Louise, daughter, 7; Wanda, daughter, 5; Thomas, son, 2; and Emmogene, daughter, 1-month old. 

Lillian died August 16, 1986 at Harrison, Boone County, Arkansas.     She is buried in East Lawn Cemetery at Marshall in Searcy County.
