Nancy E. "Nannie" Cargile was born September 12, 1871, at Quitman, in Conway County, Arkansas, the daughter of Dennis Stell Cargile and Sarah Elizabeth Williams.
The 1880 Van Buren County, Arkansas census, Cadron Township, lists Nancy as eight years old.
Nancy married Andrew Sherman Nisler on November 27, 1890, in Cleburne County, Arkansas. Andrew Sherman Nisler was born March 23, 1867, in Van Buren County, Arkansas, the second son of 10 children born to William L. Nisler and Milla Langford.
Andrew and "Nannie" moved to Plumerville, in Conway County, about 1895. Andrew worked as a bookkeeper for the A. D. Malone Mercantile Company. He also served as Postmaster for a time.
About 1920, Andrew moved his family to Morrilton, in Conway County, where he worked as deputy sheriff until he was elected to the office of Conway County Sheriff in 1928. He served one term as Sheriff.
Nannie died November 22, 1922, at Morrilton. Andrew died there on February 8, 1930. They are buried in the Plumerville Cemetery.
